I'm IT.

ONE BOOK THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE: Does the Bible count as 1 book? I know it is a collection but I'll choose it if I may.

ONE BOOK THAT YOU’VE READ MORE THAN ONCE: Paul Yongi Cho wrote a book called "Life in the Fourth Dimension". It is quite a challenging book on how to live in by the Holy Spirit and how to expect Him to work in your life and through your life. The challenge comes because it is pretty blunt. There is no room for wishy washy theology here.

TWO BOOKS YOU’D WANT ON A DESERT ISLAND: Possibly the Readers Digest "How To Do Anything" might be useful. Again I'd have to go for the Bible. There is action, adventure, comedy, thought provoking ideas, romance - it has it all.

ONE BOOK THAT MADE YOU LAUGH: Only one? Peter Mayle's Year in Provence made me chuckle. For laugh out loud stop it's hurting humour try the Janet Evanovitch "Stephanie Plum" series.

ONE BOOK THAT MADE YOU CRY: I have just read "Heaven's Wager" by Ted Dekker. There are parts of that which moved me almost to tears. (Ask my wife - I'm not very weepy (except at the end of Extreme Home Makeover when the people see their new home!))

ONE BOOK YOU WISH HAD BEEN WRITTEN: I don't know. I have so far managed to find anything that I have ever thought I wanted to read.

ONE BOOK YOU WISH HAD NEVER BEEN WRITTEN:Anything by Thomas Hardy. We read him at school. Aaaargh.

ONE BOOK THAT YOU ARE CURRENTLY READING: Tee Hee. Evangelistic Prophecy. What a book. For far too long the church has been ineffective, quiet and timid. Not after reading this one. If you want to know what God has to say to you - give me a call. I challenge you!

ONE BOOK YOU HAVE BEEN MEANING TO READ: Can't think of any. I'm a "want it get it" kind of guy.

FIVE PEOPLE YOU TAG: Erm, I'll get back to you on this.

Welcome!

This blog contains 703 words and should take about 3 minutes to read.

Have you ever heard the phrase "when the pupil is ready the teacher appears"?. Well let me tell you a story.

About 13 or 14 years ago I was involved in Christian ministry. Along with my wife Ann, I was very involved in a church and looking to go to Bible College.

At that time I was regularly preaching on a Sunday, I would attend evangelistic rallies, and was involved with praying with those who needed a healing touch from God or even more importantly wanted to turn their lives over to God, to become "Born Again".At that time we did what was known in some church circles as "live by faith". That is to say that was our job. We were not on a salary from anyone and we just trusted that God would see our needs met.

He did. But and this is a big BUT, at some point I decided that God would need a hand. We got a mortgage and decided that we wanted a family and, well you can't live by faith then can you. We better get jobs, settle down yadder yadder.

Well to cut a long story short (if that is not to late), our ministry opportunities started to fade, our peace seemed to retreat and all in all things were not so good for us. Still better than many/most, but by what we were used to not as good.

I have built up a secular business. As a life coach and motivational speaker I still have the opportunity to speak into peoples lives (preacher) and help them to work through life issues (pastor/teacher). I even manage to talk to people about their future (prophet), but all in all, at best, semi-religious way.

If you have read my previous blogsite you will see that I was laid down ill and I said that I thought that God had some stuff to sort out - well I was right.

The upshot is that I am ceasing in all my secular training and motivational programmes. We are going back to living by faith. We are going to start back at the beginning again. I am going back to praying with people who need saving and healing. I have always believed that God is intimately concerned with His people, both those who know Him and those who don't.

I am putting this knowledge back into practise. If people want coaching it will be 100% Christian based. When people are looking to plan for the future I will help them. However I will be seeking prophetic words for them. My motivation courses will be based on biblical principles seeking to bring people further into His perfect will for their lives.

The only business activity that I am going to maintain is my Herbalife business. This is because I believe that Herbalife have a range of products that can very practically help peoples' health, fitness and through the business program, wealth.

To that end, I have written my last blog at my old site and will begin the new blog here. This is to link into the theme of my website www.beextraordinary.co.uk.

It is my firm conviction that we are all called to live extraordinary lives. If we submit our lives to God, He will send His Spirit to dwell within us and then how can we live anything but Extraordinary lives?

I hope that you will respond to my blog postings. I love to hear from you and it would be my privilege to pray for you for any reason but especially if you want to become a Christian/find out about becoming one, or if you need a healing. I would also be honoured to seek God for His will for you. Please do leave comments or email me direct.

If you are interested in finding out about the courses I will be running soon then please mail me. Also contact us if you would like to find out how to support this ministry and how we can support you.

Until we speak,

Blessings
Roarke
